Education in true love

I felt so small + alone within my room last night
Never knew a huge world could have a tiny mind
Society sucks all the fun outta this relationship
Don't know wether to hold my head high or bite my lip
It seems that one boy + one girl
Is the only love allowed in this world

Emotion is not defined by gender
Devotion is not defined by gender
With homophobes + bigots, this world is filling up
These are people who need an education in true love

I thought my basic human rights decreed
I'm free to love whoever the hell I please
Shunned by family + friends
Think we're latching onto a trend
All these people "coming out" need to be so strong
Treated like lepers, like we did something wrong

With homophobes + bigots, this world is filling up
These are people who need an education in true love

Again, it's not finished + needs a little work, but it's getting there!

Yeah, I know! I'd better explain to everyone else where this came from....*puts on storytelling hat*

Well, I was out clubbing, drinking, partying etc with all my friends in town + Lucy was there + we were jsut walking along, holding hands etc + jsut generally having a good time, when this woman, a complete stranger who had never seen us before in our lives, came up to us + told us that we were disgusting, offensive + abnormal
