Avril Sucks, Nelly Rocks!

"All is not well for our favorite Canadian! Sources reveal exclusively to PerezHilton.com that tickets for Avril Lavigne’s 2008 tour, which recently went on sale, are bombing.
“Tickets are not selling,� a concert industry source tells us.
Lavigne is playing amphitheaters, arenas and theaters.
Lawn seats for some of the amphitheater shows are on sale for as little as $14 she’s still having trouble moving them, we’re told.
“She’s going on tour too late,� says our source of Avril, whose album came out in April of 2007. Her tour doesn’t even begin until March of 2008!!!!
“Some of the venues - the arenas - may have to scale back to theater-seating,� says our in-the-know insider.
Boys Like Girls is opening for Lavigne. Not exactly a huge draw either."



So, let Avril keep the awards for "best female" and "best music of the year"..who cares? At least the "Get Loose Tour" sold out and was a sucess

oh this is weird cuz i had no idea that the ticket's sales haven't sold too much... and that's strange because avril has so many fans in everywhere from canada to australia...

well i am of opinion that it's indeed something late for avril lavigne start a tour for an album which was released in march, but it's better late than never... and i know avril will perfom in some latin american countries for the first time, and i also know there's no dates for europe so far... but maybe this tour will be something lucrative for avril, i think there's no need for dramas...

and tiago you are right the awards don't matter at all, the only thing what it matters here is the tour, the contact to the fans, to the audience... you know have people on the concerts...

nelly really rocks and avril doesn't suck at all, she rocks too but not too much as nelly

What does it have to do with Nelly Furtado? That's why I don't like most of the new Nelly fans, because some of them are so childish to the point of hating artists just because they won an Award over Nelly.

And also because some of them think the quality of an artist is measured by their sellings.

It's not about sellings or awards, it's just to show to the people that think that Avril is the best just because she has 3 hit records that she is so much better than Nelly, cause she had a record that didn't sell nothing. Because selling records doesn't give you the right to be arrogant and to think that everyone likes you, like Avril constantly does. That's why I posted this..but apparently you missunderstood me...

Oh, and by the way, I'm a fan of Nelly since the "Whoa Nelly" times...I'm not a "new Nelly fan".

Yes I do...have you heard her statements about her music? "Oh, my music is so good and my ballads are hot because they were written by me" (or something like that..you can see this at the publicity for the ema's, when they make videos about the nominees)..So yeah, I do think she is arrogant.
But ok, maybe I exagerated on the tittle...
And I am not arrogant when I talk about the Get Loose tour...i'm just telling the truth.

i 100% agree with everything in this quote. i don't like avril, but that's just because i dont like her. doesn't have anything to do with record sales, hot records, etc. etc. but i really agree with this.

otherwise, i think people need to stop arguing and just chill out.
