Hey I was wondering which album do Nelly Fans enjoy more? I personally love both albums but I want to see what every one else had to think about them.

Hi!!
In fact I love two albums of Nelly Furtado, she is my favourite singer since year 2000 when she arrived at my country with her I'm Like a Bird. Really, her music has develop but I think that is a normal thing and at that moment I don't mind if I hear Whoa, Nelly! or Folklore, for me are good both cds... |

Folklore is okay, but I still like Whoa Nelly more. I am still getting used to Folklore, as it is more mellow. Whoa Nelly is more fun and more energetic.

I go back and forth, but I guess I would say whoa nelly wins by a slight margin, mostly cause of all the remixes and acoustic versions of whoa nelly songs.

To be quite honest, it has taken me a long time to get into Folklore. The more I listen to it, though, the more I fall in love with the more complex emotions it portrays. I have just recently discovered how truly beautiul Childhood Dreams is. I think she wrote it about her daughter, personally.
Nelly has always been an acquired taste. Her music is too sophisticated to just appeal to everyone the first time they hear it. I think it was a lot easier for me to tap into her than my other friends simply because I come from a Latin background, and so I could immediately identify with the different rhythms etc. Anyway. I love her. |
