A Dream Of Romance

Wouldn't it be heaven on earth,
if we found the perfect romance, where no one has to get hurt
If we could give our hearts away, knowing someone's there to keep them safe
Wouldn't it be something that only we could dream of

Lies can be sold to those who are to blind to see the truth, to blind to see
Let's drift off into a perfect romance and burn bridges in our sleep
Where no blood get's spilled, where no tears have to fall
From eyes that burn so brightly when they stare into the sun
Falling into a dream of a romance, where the sky is blue
And the only shade of grey, is the colour that follows our shadows

Our dreams are the only place where everything, is how we planned it
No broken hearts or cracks in the walls, everything looks how we wanted
I let myself lie in a dream of a romance with her

I have a dream of laying her down to sleep, covering her up beneath the sheets
We all have something to hide, something that were hiding from
I know what she hides, I know that she cries
And were not as pure and innocent as the covers that we fall into at night

I fall into the perfect romance, as we fall in love in our dreams
With someone that dissapears when morning comes and the vision is over
Perfect doesn't cut it anymore, she's never really with me,
Thoughts are all that keeps her here, but those thoughts are not enough
It's getting so much harder to breath, so much harder to find a reason to smile
So hard to believe that three simple words could mean so little now

For now we know, that our dreams get us that much closer, but pull that much further apart
The sun soaks up our smiles, I need to fall asleep with you tonight

I can feel my lungs tightening, forcing me to choke on dreams
Stopping me from catching breath
I never want to wake up, or open my eyes
cause I know that you'll dissapear, and fall away out of sight

We hope that perfect exsists, but that's only in our heads
I can't focus on anything, that doesn't show your face in it
My dreams play out a scene of you and me,
where broken heart's and tear stained faces don't exsist
My dreams let me fall into the perfect romance with you

Our dreams are the only place where everything, is how planned it

Yeah, I have to agree with you. Somtimes the most peacefull moments in our lives are our dream. It's the fear of waking up and being alone that scares most people. But you have to remeber that we are never alone. Though not everything is perfect, we still have whats good around us and we got to keep it.

Thanks, yeah, I agree cause if I close my eyes, I can replay all the good times with her + dream about what we'd be like together now + then, they're open again + it all comes crashing down, but, hey, that's life
