Yawn?What time is it? What day is it?
Emily Carlson rolled out of her double bed and looked over at her alarm clock, 1:24pm,
Emily had a wonderful habit of sleeping in on Saturdays. She slowly woke up, pulling on her jeans and favourite black tee, she glanced in the mirror to check if her short, dyed black hair with electric pink streaks hadn?t gone completely frizz. She made her way down the hall to the bathroom, where she threw some water on her face and put contacts lenses over her naturally brown eyes. ?I have no idea what I would do if not for the invention of contacts?, she thought.
She looked around with her new eyes, no one was home, but Emily didn?t mind her parents working all the time, she liked the place to herself.
Emily looked outside, it seemed like a nice enough day, even though spring was supposed to start two weeks ago but the weather was still pretty miserable. She quickly grabbed her jacket and locking the door behind her, walked out into the driveway of her suburban accommodation. She stepped out onto the pavement flicking on her disc-man and headed down to the local caf? for a coffee, which was luckily only a ten minute walk away. Emily was watching the puffy clouds make different shapes in the sky as she walked down the road, then all of a sudden ?CRASH!? She was on the ground her disc-man went flying out of her hand onto the grass of someone else?s lawn, she looked over to see what had just happened to her, and saw the hottest guy at her school looking down at her.
?Are you alright?? Ethan Ridge asked,
?Yeah, I?m alright, I think,? Emily replied, getting off the ground and looking around for her disc-man.
?Here, I got it,? he said handing Emily her beloved disc-man, ?sorry for knocking you down I wasn?t watching where I was going when I turned out of my pathway.? Ethan pointed to his house behind where the disc-man had landed.
?No worries ay, to tell the truth I wasn?t concentrating either,? she said trying not to blush; she could hardly believe she was talking to Ethan of all people. He was just too perfect, his emerald, green eyes and his dark brown hair, not to mention his other attractive features, made him the most chased after guy in the school, but who knew he could ever be so kind to someone like me, Emily thought.
?Hay listen I got to go,? Ethan said abruptly waking Emily from her daydream, ?meeting some friends at the beach, but I?ll see you at school some time.?
?Bye, nice talk?n to you". Emily called as he dashed off in the opposite direction.
Sigh?I hope I do see you again, Emily thought as she continued, with her mind on nothing but Ethan, to the coffee shop.
After only another two minutes of walking, she could finally see the shops creeping up from over the hill.
All of a sudden she heard a snarling noise coming from inside the rustling, Emily decided to investigate, she peered over into the bush?and out jumped a GIANT GELATINOUS LEG DEVOURING SPIDER THING!!!
Emily screamed with shock and began to run, but it was too late, her screaming had provoked the treacherous monster and it had leaped at her, pushing her hard to the pavement.
?Help! Some one please help me!? Emily screeched at the top of her lungs, as the gelatinous spider sunk his fangs into her and began chomping at her legs.
The pain was terrible.
?I?ll save you law biding err?person!!?
Emily heard a voice but it was hard to tell if she was just imaging it, because of the blood loss. Then she saw him, Ethan!...she was pretty sure it was him, he was wearing the same clothes?except for the fact that he was wearing a paper bag on his head and a cape saying ?YUG-NAH-TE THE ONE AND ONLY CONPLETELY UN-FAKE SUPER, SUPER HERO? ,printed in large red letters.
He jumped down from the letter-box he was balancing on, onto the gelatinous spider, freeing Emily from it's sharp teeth.
?Run Emily!? Ethan shouted, as he wrestled with the spider.
?I can?t you idiot!? Emily looked down at the pool of blood were her legs used to be, ?that THING ate my legs!!!? she screamed at Ethan.
?Oh right?didn?t think of that, sorry? Ethan apologised as he pinned the spider to the ground.
?you?re hopeless? Emily groaned?she was getting weak now, she could feel the blood rushing out of her?she knew the end was near?
Ethan got smashed up against a wooden fence post and it snapped in half, and since he was feeling rather smart and cunning with his spiffing not to mention special cape on, flapping in the wind,he grabbed the sharply broken fence post and sliced the spider in two. It had been defeated! Finally Ethan could say that he?d actually done something with his un-fake super, super powers!! Then he remembered Emily lying legless on the side of the road, he slowly turned around, from the giant mound of gelatinous spider he was facing, to see Emily lying face down on the pavement. He raced over to her, but it was too late?Emily was dead?
?NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!? Ethan cried, dogs beginning to bark in the back-ground.
?Poor Emily?didn?t stand a chance?? Ethan whimpered.
Then as he wallowed in his failure to Emily, he randomly exploded: KA BOOOOMMMM!!!!!!
NOTE: In the Emily never did get her coffee and Ethan never did check for bombs before putting on his cape?o well at least they died happily ever after
