Does anyone know who Nelly is referring to in the song shit on the radio? cause it kinda sounds like Simon what's his face from american idol is saying something at the beginning. IJust wondering.

I think nelly's song was earlier than the idol dude.
shit on the radio is a general term. I think it is "I got some shit on the radio", meaning "they play my records on the radio".. correct me if I'm wrong. I happen to be wrong all the time

from my interpretation of the song it's kinda like..Nelly is tellin the listener that whoever the song is about liked her until she became mainstream and think that she'd changed or sumthing..but she says about how she's done good for herself and they're kinda dumb for stayin behind her and judging her for it..I dunno. for me, it's kinda about how ppl can just judge u and about not conforming for ppl that don't agree with what ur doing,.

It's my favourite Nelly song, and I think she has explained what it's about. like it's a underground group, and when she is on the radio and tv, doing mainstream pop, they don't like her just because of that, but she don't care and is herself.
Yeah, I'm not good at explaining stuff, but I hope you get my point...
