what nelly is to me? The person Nelly herself doesnt mean anything to me to be honest. It's her music that means a lot to me

What role does Nelly play in our society? She's a singer, and not only that, she gets the word out about her Portuguese heritage and her life experiences through her music as well. She is also a passionate storyteller.

How representative was Nelly's performances of it's musical genre? Very representative. Her songs make very good use of her talent.

Does her music represent a fusion of different musical genres or the beginning of a new one? In the past, her music was a fusion of hip-hop, old school, and pop, as heard on the Whoa Nelly CD. On the Folklore CD, it is more a mixture of soft rock, pop, and folk music.
