Nelly Furtado has said on her facebook and twitter pages that she will donate  the $1 million dollars that she was paid for a 45 minute concert she did back in 2007 for the Gaddafi Clan in a hotel in Italy.

Nelly talks about how hard it was choosing the songs to put on her Greatest Hits CD that has just been released saying

“It was really hard choosing a song especially because I’ve done so many duets over the years. Collaboration has been a big part of my musical process.”

She also talks about the people she has worked with, both producers and other singers and how she is still learning from each of them, as well as why she changes styles of music so much and her influences.

“I play ukulele, I play trombone. I was a pretty eclectic kid. I guess that’s why I like to discover myself through sound and music.”

Nelly did an interview with Teen.com about her Greatest Hits album being released, what music she is listening to at the moment, whether she would like to see Promiscuous covered by Glee (or not) and about being a Twi-hard.

I don’t know if I want a bunch of teens going around singing “Promiscuous.” [In Glee] But hey, whatever they want. It’s a great show. “Maneater” would be great.”

“I’d like to duet with Madonna. I want to work with A.R Rahman, this Indian composer. I want to go to carnival in Brazil. I would like to play trombone on stage.”
